Web Developer/Designer

JOB PURPOSE


The successful candidate will be a technical savvy and creative individual who will be the gatekeeper of the company's visual representation through its website platform. The individual should have a solid technical background in web design and coding and in-depth knowledge of WordPress and all relevant features and plugins.

In addition to the technical knowledge, a good understanding of SEO strategies and best practices, automation tools and a creative flare for web design is essential. Working knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.

The selected candidate should be able to deliver under tight deadlines and have great workflow organization skills to ensure all tasks are completed on their due dates.

ROLE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Ensuring that the company's digital representation is up to date – Primary website and landing pages

  • Developing ad-hoc landing pages for new projects based on brand brief

  • Ensuring the back end and front end of the main website are optimized for organic Search

  • Ensuring that all website elements (design and informational) are consistently up to date.

  • Developing new landing pages under the primary domain for a new project based on the design brief.

  • Execute tasks efficiently based on design briefs.

  • Ensuring all tracking elements are in place and operating to analyze web performance.

  • Identifying website optimization opportunities, including but not limited to device optimization, speed, and usability.

  • Consistently identifying opportunities to enhance the visual design of online presence.

  • Supporting internal processes within other departments; optimization and review of back-end coding to enhance usability and function.

  • Maintaining up to date on all new visual design and web development trends.

  • Monthly reporting of web analytics, highlighting key opportunities.

  • This is not an extensive list of responsibilities and may be required to perform other related tasks, as per the guidance of the senior management.


QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS



  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant diploma or training in the field

  • 3+ years as web designer/developer and/or digital marketing

  • Professional level experience in WordPress and web programming (platforms & coding)

  • Excellent visual design skills

  • Good understanding of Google’s portfolio of analytical and tracking tools – Google Analytics, Tag Manager, etc

  • Previous experience and understanding of HTML, SEO, IT and lead generation a plus

  • Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies
